Serving as an officer for Omega Phi Alpha is a rewarding and challenging leadership experience that leaves a lasting impression on the chapter for years to come. Being elected an officer in our chapter is an honor, with our officers serving our chapter through delegation, organization, communication and enthusiasm. Each and every position is critical to the proper operations of our chapter.
Esmeralda Cardenas
P R E S I D E N T
Esme is a first generation college student from Eagle Pass, a bordertown in Texas. She is a social work student and plans to get her bachelors degree in the next year. After, she plans to work for a non profit all while getting her masters degree and becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. During her free time, you can catch her hanging out with her best friends, or binge watching Youtube. A goal of Esme is to one day be a houseguest on Big Brother.
Katie Elias

Katie is a sophomore from Katy, TX who loves corgis, rock climbing, The Bachelor, and traveling! She had held multiple leadership positions in organizations during high school, so we are glad to have her serve as Omega Phi Alpha's secretary for this new school year. Katie is a nursing major and hopes to attend nursing school somewhere in Texas next fall. As secretary, Katie looks forward to getting more involved wit the sorority as well as getting to know more OPA sisters through her position.

Kayla is a Junior at Texas State. She is studying Elementary Education wit the plan to become a Camp Director for Girl Scouts. In her spare time you can find her chilling with her cats, crafting, or hanging out with her sisters.

Larissa is a sophomore at Texas State and is currently pursuing a degree in accounting. After attaining her bachelors, she will also pursue her masters in accounting. She currently serves a position in Omega Phi Alpha as Insignia Chair. She is originally from North Carolina but moved to Kerrville, Texas as teenager. Larissa loves spending time with her friends and family in her free time. You will also never catch her without eyelashes.

Camryn is a sophomore originally from Las Vegas, Nevada, but made a big move to San Antonio, Texas when she was only nine and has lived there ever since.This sorority is based on community service and bonding with sisters which is what inspired her to be our Sisterhood Chair for the 2019-2020 academic school year. She looks forward to planning events to bring her sisters closer than ever because if our bond wasn't strong we wouldn't be able to do service for our community and beyond as passionately as we do.

Karen is a junior from Houston. She serves as the Historian for Omega Phi Alpha. She always knew she wanted to hold this officer position because she loved editing and taking pictures. She is a Criminal Justice major and hopes to go to law school in the future. In her free time, you can find her hanging out with friends or going to a fun concert.

Alyra is a sophomore, and a Gemini! She was born in Colorado, but Austin is her home. Alyra holds the Academic Chair officer position, and may I say she is doing swell. She maintains the academics of the chapter and provides support to all the sisters. Alyra is a nursing major, who plans to become a surgical nurse! She loves to sleep, study, and hanging out with the sisters.
